THE Garapan Rollers swept all three games in the 2007 NYBA 16-and-under Basketball League last Monday at the Garapan basketball court.
The G-Rollers’ 12-and-under co-ed team played in the first game and slipped past the Explosives, 22-21, for their second win against the same team.
The G-Rollers 16-and-under squad was featured in the second match and had a no contest against the ChaCha Ballers, as the former notched a 65-7 triumph.
The G-Rollers girls’ team limited the Ballers to three points in the first half and despite leading by 37 points at halftime, 34-3, the former were still merciless on defense allowing the latter to score only four points in the second half.
Former NMI Women’s team member Chelsea Ruluked paced the G-Rollers firing 19 points, while Noelle Calvo and Nicole Lebria added 12 and 10 markers, respectively.
Roxanne Duenas chipped in eight points.
In the boys’ 16-and-under division, the G-Rollers 1 downed sister team G-Rollers 3, 110-36.
