SAIPAN Mayor Juan B. Tudela says the gasoline bill has been paid and his office is once again providing services to the community.
Tudela said things are more or less back to normal now but they are still trying to find ways to continue “basic services and essential operations.”
He said that all their telephone connections are back.
The mayor announced early this month that his office would not be able continue its public services due to the finance department’s failure to release a $9,000 payment to Mobil Oil for the municipal government’s fuel bill.
Tudela said his office is trying to stretch their budget again because another bill from Mobil will be due soon.
