GOVERNOR Fitial and Lt. Gov. Charles Reyes Jr./PIO (Timothy Villagomez?) definitely make a good tag team.
First, the governor has no sympathy or remorse toward the indigenous people, taxpayers, voters and the community other than his back problems and the constant blame for our economic crisis caused by previous administration.
Lt. Governor/PIO Charles Reyes Jr. continues to defend the administration at every angle but I understand that his bread and butter is on the line. This is the result of our rubber-stamping lawmakers giving the governor unlimited powers. Rather than using this power to fulfill their empty promises, they have bestowed hardship and mayhem on the people of the CNMI.
Governor Fitial knew all of this back then when he was only the minority leader in the 2nd and 4th Legislature, vice speaker in the 2nd and 4th Legislature, speaker of the House in the 3rd, 12th and 14th Legislature — but he did nothing to prevent this forthcoming crisis we face now. Now he is playing hero.
Well, Mr. Governor, your heroics are not working and the frustration and pain that our indigenous people, taxpayers, voters and the community are feeling are unbearable and you are driving us to near extinction — every one is moving out.
Now, how much did you say you paid for your lobbyist/your pro and anti-nuclear consultants, your military task force including a general? And whose money or budget did you tap this time?
One thing for sure Mr. Governor-almost-hero, you can’t come near my daughters’ college fund or piggy bank. Sorry, off-limits. Governor the Taotao Tano are appealing to you to please accept failure and tuck-in your pride and be a man. We understand your frustration. Declare an economic disaster. It’s justified and you will be forgiven.
