College Youth Group to hold fundraiser

THE Korean Presbyterian Church of Saipan’s College Youth Group, which was formerly led by the late Jung Hwan Ku, is planning a mission trip to Mongolia in May to spread the Gospel.
Jung Hwan Ku was one of the four students who drowned off Forbidden Island last month.
Although he is no longer with the College Youth Group, its members have decided to carry on with their mission trip.
They will hold a fundraising luncheon this Saturday, April 28, at the 13 Fishermen Pavilion on Beach Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The menu will be chicken barbecue, hotdogs, rice, coco, corn salad and drinks.
The group will also have a bazaar/garage sale at the same venue.
Next week, on Saturday, May 5, the group will have another bazaar and luncheon at the same venue. The menu: sushi, Korean pancakes and dumplings.
“We would greatly appreciate it if the public would come out and support the sole college ministry on Saipan so that, in the future, we will be able to expand our activities and mission trips to not just Korean college students but also to the rest of the local college community. Thank You for your support,” the group’s media release stated.
