THE CNMI National Track and Field Championships has been moved from May 5 to May 4 at the Oleai Sports Complex track and field facility.
Northern Marianas Athletics secretary general Robin Sapong said the registration will start at 3:30 p.m., while races will begin at 4 p.m.
The national championships are open for all interested athletes.
Sapong added that student-athletes in the junior high and high school divisions who have yet to join the qualifying trials for the 2007 McDonald’s All Schools Track and Field Championships have until Friday to participate in the qualifiers and gain slots in the annual meet.
The McDonald’s All School trackfest is set for May 12 with competitions in the elementary, junior high and high school divisions.
The top three schools will receive trophies, while the top finishers in throwing, running and jumping events will get medals.
The top three schools will be determined via a point system. NMA will award points to student-athletes depending on how they finish in the race.
