THE brothers
who were arrested and charged for burglarizing and robbing the MCV office
last year appeared again in court for preliminary proceedings.
Joseph A. Crisostomo, 33 and his brother Calistro A. Crisostomo, 23, appeared
before Superior Court Judge David A. Wiseman yesterday morning.
Calistro Crisostomo, through his counsel George Hasselback, waived his
right for a preliminary hearing.
The court set his arraignment for Aug. 13.
According to the court, there is probable cause to believe that Joseph
Crisostomo, who is represented by attorney Steve Nutting, committed the
offenses charged against him.
He was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, burglary and theft.
His arraignment was also set for Monday, Aug. 13.
The brothers were remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections
after the hearing.
Wiseman has yet to sign the order for probable cause.
The information filed in court by Chief Prosecutor Jeffery Warfield Sr.,
stated that the brothers and William Jerome T. Deleon Guerrero, 24, on
Sept. 10 or 11, 2006, did conspire with each other to unlawfully
enter the building of Marianas Cable Vision in Susupe with the purpose
of committing theft.
The information stated that the three defendants unlawfully entered the
building and took $34,319.25 in cash, checks and credit card receipts.
Deleon Guerrero is now out on bail.
The police affidavit submitted to the court stated that the burglary was
discovered on Sept. 11, 2006 by an employee of MCV.
The incident was reported to the police at 8:14 a.m. by Mark Birmingham.
The identities of the suspects were revealed by the girlfriend of one
of them.
The woman told investigators that the defendants were responsible for
the burglary and theft at the MCV office last year.
The Crisostomo brothers were already in custody for other offenses and
were served with warrants while in prison.
Deleon Guerrero was arrested on July 12.
