IN HIS State of Education Address yesterday, Education Superintendent Luis Reyes said the 37 public schools will open on time and with no problems.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I have very good news: our public schools are ready for our students and…will open on time,” said Reyes.
Reyes expressed thanks for the support of first lady Joann G. Camacho, Speaker Mark Forbes, R-Sinajana, and Minority Leader Judi Won Pat, D-Malojloj.
“I am pleased to share that Tamuning Elementary and Southern High Schools will return to their regular school schedule,” he said.
The only schools not returning to regular bell schedules are Simon Sanchez High School and John F. Kennedy High School.
Simon Sanchez High School will be on a split bell schedule as a result of an overpopulated campus, while JFK High School will be on a bell schedule as requested by parents and students.
Schools will open on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
