A MAN has been charged for
stealing three bracelets from Joeten Hafa Adai Shopping Center in Garapan
last week.
Ricardo N. Omisong, 41, was arrested on Wednesday for theft and was brought
for a bail hearing on Friday before Presiding Judge Robert Naraja.
Omisong was released from the custody of the Department of Corrections
on Friday after he posted a $1,000 property bond, a 1997 Toyota Corolla.
He will appear in court on Monday for arraignment at 9 a.m.
According to the police affidavit, Omisong was apprehended by a security
guard for shoplifting on Jan. 24 at 6:52 p.m.
The security guard then called the Department of Public Safety and reported
the incident.
Police Officer Andrew Santos, who was dispatched to the scene, saw the
surveillance footage of Omisong taking three items and walking out of
the store without paying for them.
When asked for his name, Omisong identified himself as Ray Cepeda.
But his true identity was discovered from previous arrest records and
he was identified as Ricardo Omisong.
