The Palau Community College
has inked the Memorandum of Understanding which will pave the way for
exchange programs between PCC and the Commission on Higher Education of
the Philippines.
Philippine Ambassador to Palau Ramoncito Marino said PCC President Patrick
Tellei has signed the cooperation.
Marino said Tellei will fly to Manila next month to formalize the cooperation.
Under the cooperation five schools in the Philippines will be covered
under the exchange program with PCC.
The interested Philippine schools are the Mariano Marcos State University
located in Ilocos, Philippine Normal University and Adamson University
in Manila and Cebu Normal University and Cebu State College of Science
and Technology.
The Mariano Marcos State University is interested in providing consultancy
services for the establishment of an academy for engineering, teacher
education, aquaculture and marine sciences.
The school is also interested in exchange program of students and faculty
exchange of professional, educational, cultural and research enhancement.
PNU meanwhile is interested in student exchange program and partnership
in teacher education.
The Adamson University meanwhile would want cooperative programs in teacher
education and establishment of an academy for engineering while the Cebu
State College of Science and Technology is interested in deploying experts
in aquaculture and marine sciences.
