AGO files charges vs 10 in separate cases

TEN men were charged by the Attorney General’s Office for various crimes.
Joaquin Fitial Villagomez, 60, of Oleai; Jesus Fujihira Tesero, 60, Koblerville; Isauo Dira, 20, Koblerville; Edward Litulumar, 61, San Jose; Nuruzzuman Nuruzzuman, 36, Dandan; Uremalk Ngiralmau, 41, Kannat Tabla; Lorenzo Olaitiman, 42, Kagman III; Norman Caraang Tapaoan, 24, As Lito; Clemente Santos Sablan, 48, Koblerville; and David H. Fogata, 53, Oleai were all summoned to appear in Superior Court on Feb. 26 at 9 a.m.
Chief Prosecutor Jeffery Warfield Sr. charged Villagomez with theft, disturbing the peace, assault and battery, assault and criminal mischief for beating his common-law spouse on July 6 and 8, 2006.
The information filed by the AGO in court added that the defendant also damaged the victim’s cellphone and stole her purse on June 24, 2006.
Warfield charged Tesero, Dira, Litulumar and Nuruzzuman with assault and battery for beating up their wives and kin.
The AGO stated that Tesero pinned his wife to the floor and twisted her leg on Nov. 19, 2006 while Dira punched his brother-in-law on Sept. 9, 2006.
Litulumar was charged for slapping and punching his wife on Nov. 21, 2006, while Nuruzzuman was charged for punching his wife in the face in the presence of children on Dec. 4, 2006.
Ngiralmau was charged for disturbing the peace of his wife on Aug. 29, 2006 while Olaitiman was charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace for grabbing his common-law wife’s hair and throwing her to the ground on Sept. 1, 2006.
Sablan was charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace for punching and slapping his wife on Sept. 10, 2006.
Tapaoan was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and interfering with a domestic violence report for assaulting a woman on May 25, 2006.
The AGO stated that the defendant threatened to cause bodily injury to the victim with a dangerous weapon — a knife.
Tapaoan, the AGO stated, interfered with another person who was attempting to report a crime involving domestic violence to a law enforcement agency by unplugging the phone when the person attempted to call for police assistance on May 25, 2006.
Fogata was charged with one count of issuance of bad check for issuing a check to First Floral Shop in Garapan in the amount of $99 on May 15, 2006, knowing that it would not be honored by the drawee and knowing that he had no account with the drawee at the time the check was issued.
