FOUR teams have so far confirmed their participation in the 2007 Budweiser Saipan Major League, which will start on Feb. 26 at the Francisco “Tan Ko’ Palacios Ballfield.
Leading the list are the defending champions Bud Kings, who will be joined by last year’s runnerup the Ford Rangers, Masters and Saipan Jaguar.
The Bud Kings and the Rangers will be having an early rematch, as they are expected to play on the tournament’s opening day.
Three more teams have expressed an interest in joining the 2007 SML season, but have yet to find sponsors. They are the Northern Yankees, Seabees and the Tanapag Braves.
With teams still looking for sponsors, SML is asking for help from both the private and public sectors to ensure the success of the tournament.
Meanwhile, SML league coordinator Tony Rogolifoi is reminding representatives of interested teams to attend a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.

He added that SML also be holding an election on Wednesday.
