A JUNIOR student at Tinian High School has been appointed by the governor as this year’s student representative to the Board of Education.
Louvele Borja said she will focus on the most pressing issues that affect the community and the students.
Borja succeeded Alvie Sanchez, who graduated from high school.
“My appointment was effective a couple of weeks ago and I believe I will be serving in the position until next school year,” she said.
Borja said she is committed to her new job and will try her best to collect all the views of students on certain matters that affect them.
“Hopefully the board will consider what I say because I am determined to give my best and collect the views of students and get them heard and understood,” she said.
Pursuant to Article XV, Section 1 of the CNMI Constitution and Public Law 6-10, the student representative to the board is a non-voting member of BOE representing public school students.
