7 more grants received in December

The government of Palau received seven more grants amounting to $770,474 in December 2006, according to official data from the Bureau of Budget and Planning.
On Dec. 4, the Ministry of Health received $1,500 for the Annual Health Convention from the Ministry of Manpower and $22,000 for the development of intervention for Palauan youth at risk for Psychosis from Unutah Genealogy and Family Resources.
MOH also received $94,644 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services for Palau Inter-agency project to help children with special need; $5,523 from USDHHS for supplemental fund to maintain, measure and evaluate the extent of HIV/AIDS program; and $113,278 from USDHHS to support bioterrorism pandemic influenza program.
The Ministry of Education has received on Dec. 6, $12,000 from the Pacific for Education and Learning to provide fund for eight Palauans who are recipients of the Robert Byrd Scholarship Program.
MOE also received $521,529 on Dec. 22 from the US Department of Education to provide supplemental fund to support special education for students with disabilities.
