LES Hustlers and USSP Wat-ever
share the lead in the 4th Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League after the opening
of the twice a year tournament last Tuesday.
Les Hustlers swept the VFW Warriors II to post seven wins.
Giving Les Hustlers a perfect start were Jerry Soriano, Rowel Mariano,
Joey Lucido, Robert Sanciangco and Juancho Mendoza, who all won in the
singles. Soriano also won a doubles game teaming up with Romel Crisostomo.
Sanciangco and partner Mendoza also prevailed in the other doubles match.
USSP Wat-ever duplicated Les Hustlers feat blanking
Porkys Toka Hao, 7-0.
Winning for USSP Wat-ever were Ken and Rose Philips, Mark,
Rick and Rockenth Rengiil and Ben Ikeda.
Fourteen teams are competing in this 8-ball tournament with Ysabels
Leche Tent and Vince Amigos tied for second place.
Ysabel Leche Tent and Vince Amigos both have five wins and two losses.
Ysabel won over USSP Fotten Palau, 5-2, while Vince Amigos topped Vince
Bwi Bwiis.
In other results, the Godfathers, Buds All In Boys and Krystal
Perfect Spotters also prevailed in their debut games.
The Godfathers thwarted Buds Predators, 4-3, while Krystal
Perfect Spotters beat VFW Warriors 1, 4-3, and Buds All In Boys
nipped Wild Wild West, 4-3.
Tomorrow, seven games are scheduled at various bars on the island.
The VFW Warriors 1 and 2 collide, the Godfathers takes on the Vince
Bwi Bwiis, Ysabel meets Buds Predators, Les Hustlers square off
with USSP Fotten Palau, USSP What-ever challenges Krystal
Perfect Spotters, Buds All In Boys face Porkys Toka Hao and
Vince Amigos fight Wild Wild West.
