A 26-year-old woman received probation for disturbing the peace of her husband.
Maileen Macasieb Shilling appeared in court with Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig during a change of plea hearing on Wednesday.
Assistant Attorney General Rosemond Santos agreed to dismiss the assault and battery charge in exchange for the guilty plea.
Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona accepted the plea and sentenced Shilling to six months of imprisonment, all suspended except for one day with one day credit for time already served.
Shilling was also placed on probation for a period of six months and was ordered to report to the Office of Adult Probation on Jan. 31.
She will pay a fine of $250, a $25 assessment fee and a $50 probation service fee.
She will submit a letter of apology to the victim, Daniel Shillings, and perform 40 hours of community work service at a rate of at 8 hours a month.
Shilling will also attend and complete anger management counseling and other recommended therapy and marriage counseling with her husband at the Community Guidance Center.
A review hearing was set for June 6 at 9 a.m.
