THREE armed and masked men
robbed 777 Treasure Island Game Club II Poker in San Antonio on Monday
at dawn, according to the Department of Public Safety.
The poker arcade lost $9,000 to $10,000 in cash to the robbers who also
took the cell phones of the security guard and poker attendant, acting
Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Thomas Blas Jr. said.
The incident was reported to the police at 5:39 a.m.
Blas said a preliminary investigation disclosed that at least two of the
three men were armed when they entered the establishment.
One of the suspects had a handgun while the other held a machete.
One of the suspects stood by the door of the poker room while the two
made their way into the cashiers booth and emptied the cash from
the counter and the safe.
The suspects were described as skinny.
One of them was tall he was wearing gloves, a black long-sleeved
shirt and a hood covering his face.
The other was short and heavy-set. He wore a blue, long-sleeved jacket
with a hood.
The third suspect wore a dark, long-sleeved shirt and had a mask on. He
was short.
DPS said anyone having information on this crime should call Crime Stoppers
at 234-7272.
