Man on probation arrested for assaulting girlfriend, again

A MAN convicted of beating up his girlfriend and stealing a digital camera from another person was arrested again for assaulting his girlfriend — again — and her father.
Jesse James Lisua, 24, was brought to Superior Court for a bail hearing yesterday morning.
Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona imposed a cash bail of $5,000.
Lisua, who is still on probation, was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections and was ordered to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 15 and arraignment on Feb. 26.
The police affidavit filed in court stated that Lisua’s girlfriend called the Department of Public Safety after midnight on Monday and asked for assistance.
The responding police officer learned from the victim and her father that Lisua was drunk at the time of the incident.
The victim said Lisua, on Sunday at 3 p.m., dropped her off at a hotel in Garapan where she works.
The victim told Lisua not to pick her up if he were drunk.
When the victim finished work at about midnight she saw her father waiting for her.
Her father told her that Lisua was in the parking lot and was sleeping on the ground.
While the victim tried to wake up Lisua, her father told her that he would take the defendant in his truck while the victim was to drive the defendant’s car home.
When they got home, Lisua got upset with the victim.
As she was lying down in the living room with her son and nephew, Lisua pulled the blanket off them, grabbed her left foot and dragged her out the front door, the police affidavit stated.
The victim’s father separated Lisua from his daughter, but the defendant continued to make his way to her and somehow struck the victim’s father with his elbow.
The father pushed Lisua out of the door.
The defendant was told by the victim’s brother to leave before things got worse.
Lisia left the area in his vehicle while the victim called police for assistance.
The responding police officer found Lisua later in his car and arrested him.
Lisua was convicted in 2006 for assault and battery and theft. He was charged for slapping his girlfriend and for stealing a woman’s digital camera.
Lisua was released from jail in Oct. 29, 2006 and is on probation.
