Live fire exercises on FDM

(EMO) — The Emergency Management Office and Gov. Benigno R. Fitial would like to inform the general public that the U.S. military will conduct live fire and aerial survey on Farallon De Mendenilla.
The scheduled dates and time:
• Feb. 6–7, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. – Live Fire Exercise
• Feb. 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. – aerial survey
The general location of these activities will be on the Farallon De Mendenilla training area (R7201) on a 10-nautical-mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by these activities, the governor is advising the general public especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.

GCA Book Fair

(GCA) — Grace Christian Academy will host a Scholastic Book Fair from Feb. 26 to March 9, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Families, teachers and the community members are invited to attend the fair, which will feature a special theme: “Reading Rainforest. Wild for Books!”
On Feb. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the book fair will feature a special young authors event in which the students will share the stories or books they have written.
Throughout the two-week book fair, Grace Christian Academy will also hold a special read-a-loud event in which the volunteer community members will read stories to the students in their classrooms.
The book fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children’s classics, interactive software, adult books and current bestsellers from more than 150 publishers.
Attendees can help the school build classroom libraries by purchasing books for teachers through the Classroom Wish List and One for Books activities.

Autism society meeting

THE Autism Society of the CNMI will be holding its monthly meeting on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Green Meadow Day Care Center next to Saipan Health Clinic in Chalan Kiya.
Information regarding the group and future meetings will be available at this meeting.
All families and friends of children with autism are invited to attend.

Rev & Tax advisory

THE Division of Revenue and Taxation is informing all CNMI businesses that the distribution of the 2006 1120-CM forms and instructions will begin on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its office at the Joeten Dandan Commercial Center.
All businesses are asked to pick up the forms during the regular business hours.
The deadline for filing the 2006 1120-CM form is Thursday, March 15, at 4:30 p.m.

(OES) — The PTSA officers of Oleai Elementary school are informing parents and guardians that there will be a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m., in the cafeteria.
