THE dilemma involving the
Republican Central Committee and the Precinct IV members is causing so
much confusion and chaos. Gentlemen, time is running out fast and you
have nine laps to go before November. Allow me to dialogue with you on
a mutual ground and present you with facts.
A democracy exists only when it represents the will of the majority. That
is the most fundamental basis of a democracy for without support it loses
its only legitimate source of power to rule. This basic fundamental principle
cannot be compromised.
When a precinct club calls an official meeting of its members and in that
meeting nominated and elected the candidates on a free and open election,
those candidates legally become the precincts legitimate candidates.
Subsequently, the proper procedure would be for the Central Committee
to officially recognize those candidates. To deny the candidates
official recognition is a violation of the democratic rule.
This bad situation is made worse when the Central Committee further attempts
to dictate to the precinct club who they should choose as their candidates.
This predicament is a clear indication that the Central Committee may
have questionable and conflicting motives and is willing to suspend the
majority will to advance its own hidden agenda. That, unfortunately, is
the formula for defeat. Thank you and ghilisool.
