Geran Haga: Blood Warriors

THE biggest mixed martial arts event, and perhaps the reason why it will be hosted outdoors, will take place tonight at the Paseo Stadium in Agana.
Geran Haga is scheduled to kick off 7 p.m. with 15 scheduled fights. A live band, fireworks display, and giant TV screens in the outfield are just some of the added incentives. During a weigh-in held at the Agana Shopping Center yesterday, all 30 fighters were locked in with their pounding numbers.
Promoted as mainly a Guam vs. Canada event, the fight card includes not only fighters from Guam and Canada but the CNMI as well.
Main event fighter Ryan Bigler weighed in at 171 pounds. Bigler will fight Nicholas Castiglia, a Mu Thai instructor who fights for Team Renzo Gracie in Ontario, Canada who weighed in at 169 pounds.
Recently trained in Thailand Agat resident, Alex Castro weighed in at 155 pounds. Castro is up against Canada’s Mark Holst who weighed in at 154 pounds.
Eric Santos, who last fought in Pacific X-Treme Combat 4 in January 2005 weighed in at 156 pounds. Santos is all set to make his return as he takes on Canada’s Remi Morvan who weighed in at 15 pounds.
Elijah Reyes, who also spent some time training in Thailand, weighed in at 155 pounds. Reyes will faces Canadian fighter Clint Martin who weighed in a 153 pounds.
Three hundred plus pounder Mike Davis will fight Eric Tedtaotao who weighed in at 259 pounds.
Chris “Chico” Mesa, another heavyweight, weighing over 300 pounds will battle Saipan’s Kelvin Fitial who weighed in at 238 pounds.
Wyneu Bamba, knockout specialist, weighed in at 180 pounds. Bamba will take on 191pound Jon Aguon.
Merizo resident and recent winner in PXC 10 Brian Howard weighed in at 153 pounds. Howard is up against Junior Quinata who weighed in at 163 pounds.
Leo Cing weighing 146 pounds will take on Mike Limiac who weighs 142 pounds.
Ed Santos (Guam) weighed in at 186 pounds, he will be up against Saipan’s Syl Teregeyo, who weighed in at 187 pounds.
Frank Manglona (Guam) weighed in at 186 pounds, he will be fighting against Ken Tanzawa (Guam) who weighed in at 187 pounds.
Troy Munoz (Guam) weighed in at 197 pounds his opponent from Saipan Myron San Nicolas weighed in at 190 pounds.
Henry Cruz (Guam) was locked in at 176 pounds and his component Kurt Guerrero (Guam) weighed in at 238 pounds.
Darren Cruz (Guam) weighed in at 156 pounds, his opponent from Saipan Giovanne Sablan weighed in at 149 pounds.
John Tuck (Guam) weighed in at 170 pounds, he is up against Joseph Nauta (Saipan) who weighed in at 174 pounds.
