Burglary in Melekeok State building

The Melekeok State Building located in Medalaii was reportedly burglarized early morning of Friday.
Division of Patrol Chief Ismael Aguon said that on Feb. 2 at around 8:15 a.m. a female Palauan called and reported that someone has broken into the Melekeok State and carted away some items such as skill saw and zig saw among others.
Aguon said the case is still under investigation.

Fight in Ngermid

A male Palauan has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Division of Patrol Chief Ismael Aguon said that on Feb. 2 at 5:40 p.m. an unknown caller called the police station and reported about a fight in Ngermid.
The suspect was also arrested for damaging vehicles.

Marijuana plants seized

A man was arrested after three marijuana plants were seized from his home on Friday afternoon.
Division of Patrol Chief Ismael Aguon said that the arrest of the man suspected of cultivating marijuana plants was after a neighbor of the suspect was arrested for alleged assault.
Aguon said that three marijuana plants were seized which appeared to be one to seven feet inches in height

Fight at Bayside

A male received stab wounds at his back as a result of an alleged fight in a bar located at M-dock.
The police received the call on Feb. 3 at around 1:55 a.m. and police immediately responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital but was later released after treatment.
