Nine teams joins MOJ fishing tourney

Nine teams participated in the first ever fishing tournament within the Ministry of Justice.
Prizes for 12 categories during the tournament were given away during the tournament held at the Airai side of the Japan –Palau Friendship Bridge.
Joe Giramur, Senior Immigration Officer said that Team Valentine led by Attorney General investigator Richard Ngiratrang won the most catch category.
Team Sunshine led by Police Officer Daniel Ruluked grabbed the biggest fish caught category, while the team of airport police bagged the longest fish category.
Giramur said that each team who won got a cash prize of $20.
Teams also won for the biggest caught grouper, red snapper, dodes, udech, imirechorch, itotech, ibars and metengui.
Giramur said that the event as held from 6 a.m. to 12 noon on Feb.3 adding that the goal of organizing the tournament is to gather all employees, officers and heads of the ministry for some fun and relaxation.
Giramur thanked Vice President Elias Camsek Chin, Attorney General Jeffrey Beattie, Division of Marine Law Enforcement Chief Ellender Ngirameketii, Retired police officer Ben Lakobong, Bureau of Public Safety Deputy Director Norvert Yano, Division of Patrol Chief Ismael Aguon, Fish and Wildlife Protection Division Chief Kammen Chin and Division of Corrections Julio Ringang for the cash prizes.
