Bullets edge Jaguars, 70-69, in NBL

The Bullets leaned on the endgame heroics of Joeger Supnet to escape with a 70-69 win over the Jaguars on Friday Feb. 2 in Division II of the 2007 Shell NBL.
Supnet had a game total of 14 points, including the his team’s last four points as the Bullets bounced back from their 80-77 overtime loss to Peches in their previous game.
Rush and M-Ja scored 17 and 13 for the Bullets, who improved their win-loss record to 7-6.
The loss was the Jaguars’ only third in nine outings.
Also on Friday, the Blue Sharks posted their third straight win via a hard-earned 78-72 decision against the Kinsmen.
A day earlier, the Blue Sharks posted an 84-81 overtime win at the expense of Ngiwal Central.
The Bluie Sharks are now 7-6 while Ngiwal Central is 6-6 as it recovered with a 79-78 victory over Mesang on Saturday Feb. 3.
Also on Saturday, the Matadors did not have to flex their muscles against the Ngiwal 79ers, who lost via forfeiture.
With the win, the Matadors improved their mark to 6-4 while the 79ers skidded to four-straight losses for a 4-5 card.
Earlier on Thursday Feb. 1, On Fire (5-7) prevailed with a 84-82 decision over PPR (3-9); Kabong (3-9) snapped a seven-game losing skid with a 82-75 win against Peches (8-3),
Peches’s seven-game winning run was stalled in the process.
In Division I, Meda won over the Ranchers, 84-64, on Feb. 1 while the Rivals defeated the Ikelauans, 79-64, on Feb. 2.
