The Filipino
Community of Palau and the Ministry of Health has formally forged an agreement
which will provide the Filipino organization members a 50 percent discount
of health service costs.
In an MOU signed by Health Minister Victor Yano and TFCP president Eduardo
Aguas it stated that the pact was to "create a collaborative agreement
whereby , in consideration of the 50 percent reduction of the cost of
healthcare service for the members of TFCP legally residing in Palau and
holding a valid association membership card."
The agreement further said the TFCP will perform appropriate training
and qualification to assist the staff of the maintenance service at the
ministry for not more than four hours a day.
The TFCP will also be responsible for providing the ministry when requested
assistance in the maintenance service for not more than four hours.
The minister meanwhile will implement a 50 percent cost reduction of the
healthcare service available from members of TFCP.
The MOU said members will just have to present their TFCP card.
The mnister may also assist a member of the TFCP with off-island medical
care ay patients own expense.
The MOU is in force until Dec. 31.
