CRMO’s Joyner, Yuknavage on Guam for management review

By Emmanuel T. Erediano
Variety News Staff

COASTAL Resource Management Office Director John Joyner and staff member Kathy Yuknavage are on in Guam to participate in the coastal zone management review.
Acting CRM Director Manases M. Manglona said the review is a process by which the over-all performance of Pacific jurisdictions on coastal resource projects and programs is evaluated.
This year, he said, it is the Guam’s turn to be evaluated.
Joyner and Yuknavage are on the panel reviewing what Guam has done or is planning to do for coastal resource conservation.
The other Pacific jurisdictions that sent a team to witness the evaluation of Guam are American Samoa and Hawaii.
The local CRMO was evaluated last year.
According to Manglona, “the CNMI got a very good rating.”
Joyner and Yuknavage left last week and will be back on Friday.
