Governors Association hosts several agencies on Tuesday’s monthly meeting

The Governors Association held its longest monthly meeting on Tuesday at the Capitol in Melekeok as it hosted several government agencies that included the Bureau of Agriculture, National Development Bank of Palau, Palau National Olympic Committee, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs and Ministry of Resources and Development.
Peleliu Governor Jackson Ngiraingas, the Association’s Vice Chairman and spokesman, said the Acting President Ulai Teltull presented NDBP’s financing program opportunities such as loans for housing and state projects.
The BOA and Taiwan Technical Mission also did presentations on plant nursery establishments in different states and other improvement projects.
The PNOC had a courtesy visit and asked support from the Governors about the upcoming Belau Games and its program for the whole year that included the country’s participation to the Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
Min. Alexander Merep briefed the Governors about the preparations for the Olechetol Belau Fair and discussed other issues facing the MCCA.
Min. Koshiba and some of the Directors under the MRD discussed about the issues facing the Protected Areas Network, the Compact Review Commission and the Request of Survey Teams for States in Babeldaob.fence or wonder into the nearby water.
