By Emmanuel T. Erediano

BECAUSE they were not used to the cold climate, two of Saipan Southern High School students who visited Japan for an exchange program caught flu, according to Saipan Mayor Juan B. Tudela.
But he said that by the time they were on their way back home, the students were already “O.K.”
Tudela and the 15 students arrived past 12 midnight yesterday, from Nagoya, Japan after a seven-day educational and cultural exchange program.
It is still winter in Japan.
There were 10 students from SSHS, two from Grace Christian Academy, two Northern Marianas Academy and one from Marianas Baptist Academy who traveled with the mayor.
Tudela said all the students enjoyed themselves and appreciated the food and hospitality offered to them by the citizens of Kyoto and Nagano City where they stayed.
Tudela said Japanese exchange students are arriving on Saipan this July.
