Admiral Leidig to inspect CAT projects

Rear Admiral Charles Joe Leidig , U.S. Pacific Defense Representative will be visiting Palau starting Feb. 18 to inspect the Air Force Civic Action Team projects.
Vice President Elias Camsek Chin in an interview with reporters said that he has requested Leidig to visit Palau to see for himself the progress of the projects.
"The team have done a tremendous job in a very short period time, " Chin said.
The visit is scheduled from Feb. 18 to 20 and part of the inspection was for Leidig to take a trip to Angaur and Peleliu to look into the states’ airport runway upgrade.
The CAT 07-03 has recently completed the installation of runway lights in Angaur and Peleliu.
CAT 07-03, Officer-in-Charge Capt. Ryan Walinski said that aside from the airport project, his team accomplished the Peleliu War Memorial airconditioning installation; Mindszenty School plumbing upgrade; Ngaraard Elementary School benches; Melekeok Road project.
The team has also finished the construction of the Ibobang Basketball Court, Palau Community College poultry house and will soon start the Koror Prison Workshop renovation.
