CONTINENTAL Micronesia has
launched an enhanced, self check-in kiosk service at the Continental ticket
counter in the Guam airport.
The enhancements include three new language capabilities: traditional
Chinese, simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
The kiosks also allow customers to utilize five other languages: English,
French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
According to Continental Micronesia director of sales and marketing for
Micronesia and Asia David Kendell, the improved self check-in kiosk service
will help make travel convenient for the islands Japan market, which
makes up over 80 percent of Guams visitor arrivals.
In addition to having many features of the kiosk at our customers
fingertips, wait times will be reduced significantly or eliminated altogether,
Kendell said.
He added that the electronic service readers used by the check-in kiosk
service allows Continental customers more control over their travel experience.
Under the enhanced self check-in kiosk system, customers are able to:
* Check-in for international flights;
* View or change their seating options;
* View the lay-out of the aircraft;
* Avail themselves of a faster check-in process;
* Check bags;
* Update their frequent flyer number; and
* Transact in any of eight languages.
Customers will still have the option to check in at the Continental ticket
counter.
