A MAN who went to Guam Memorial Hospital for no apparent medical reason ended up in jail after threatening the life of Jennifer C.R. Cruz, the wife of Lt. Gov. Mike Cruz, who is also the acting nursing supervisor at the government hospital.
William Crezso was escorted out by hospital security after storming inside the office of Cruz at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
Hospital witnesses said Crezso looked very irritated and was heard shouting while pointing his finger at Cruz.
According to the lieutenant governor’s wife, she received a call from the hospital’s emergency room informing her that Crezso was making threatening remarks, saying that he was going to blow up the place and that “Jennifer” would be the first to go.
Cruz said the threat made her tremble and fear for her life.
A witness identified as “Betty” told police officers she heard Crezso made the same threatening remarks, validating Cruz’s complaint.
Based on the magistrate complaint made by Assistant Attorney General William Pole, Crezso has a prior offense record in 1999 which was transferred to Department of Military Affairs.
Crezso is now facing one count of terrorizing as a third-degree felony, one count of terrorist conduct as a third-degree felony, one count of assault as a misdemeanor and one count of reckless conduct as a misdemeanor.
Gas inhaler
In other news, a man convicted for assault in 2003 and 2005 was charged anew with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after trying to evade police authorities who caught him inhaling gas from the tank of an abandoned vehicle in Dededo.
Charles Henry Flores Cruz, 19, was seen siphoning gasoline from an abandoned vehicle on the shoulder of the road using a hose.
The same witness who called police stated that there were several occasions in the past when he observed Cruz walking down the shoulder of the road sniffing gasoline from a can.
Police Officer S.G. Topasna approached Cruz asking him to move away from the vehicle and place his hands on the side of the car, but Cruz began yelling at him.
The police officer tried to subdue Cruz, who struggled and attempted to strike Cruz with his elbow. Cruz also attempted to head-butt Topasna but missed.
