THE Guam Police Department doesn’t believe that foul play was involved in the death of a man found on Martyr Street in Hagatna yesterday morning. The man is believed to have been in his late 50’s.
GPD public affairs officer Allan Guzman said the remains were found near Hair House at 5:20 a.m. Sunday.
“Two joggers passing the area reported to Hagatna Precinct officers the presence of a body near Hair House. We are now waiting for the chief medical examiner to conduct an autopsy. GPD’s Criminal Investigation Division has been activated and is now looking into it,” Guzman told Variety.
Guzman said there were no immediate signs of foul play. It is believed that the man may have died from natural causes.
The man’s identity was not immediately available as of press time. Police could only say that the man frequented the area.
No further information was provided as the case remains under investigation.
