ON Saturday, February 24,
2007, Coors Light, the Outrigger Guam Resort and Matson, in conjunction
with Proline, Napa Auto Parts, 76 / Circle K and Rocky Mountain Precast
present Vertical Productions DDX-Drift Drag Xtreme at the 76 / Circle
K Drag Strip. Tickets can be purchased in advance at all 76 stations:
$10 Adults & $5 Children (6-12).
The DDX will feature five 20-minute drifting demonstrations by the world
famous Signal Twins (Identical Nissan 240sx built by Signal Auto shipped
to Guam from Torrance, California by Matson Navigation) driven by D1 Grand
Prix 2002 champion Katsuhiro Ueo and 16-year-old Pro-Amateur Shinya Kaneoka
(Half Filipino) from Japan.
Signal Auto President Kousuke MAD-K Kida and Signal Auto mechanic
Keiichi Matsuoka will be on island for the event, as well as popular Japanese
publications Option 2 and Drift Tengoku.
During the event on 2/24/07, eight (8) lucky winners will have a chance
to win a ride-along with the drifters. Names will be drawn throughout
the night from drop boxes at the Proline or Napa tent at the event.Other
exciting events at the DDX will include:
16 car bracket race format with Guams Pro-class drag cars.
Rock Crawling exhibition at the entrance to the drag strip.
Motorcycle Stunt Bike exhibition by local talents: Chance McCoy,
Shawn Johnson and other riders.
Top Tuner Challenge Car show with 4 categories: 2-door
open, 4-door open, JDM-FF (Front wheel drive) , JDM-FR Drift Setup
(Top Tuner Challenge entry forms are available at Proline and Napa Rt.16,
deadline for entry forms is 5:00pm on Thursday February 22.)
There will also be food, drinks and entertainment. Outside food and drinks
will not be permitted.

On Sunday February 25, 2007 there will be a drift school held at the track
for 20 students instructed by Drift Pro Katsuhiro Ueo and interpreted
by Tom Akigami from 10:00am ~ 3:00pm. Techniques, vehicle set-up and basic
to advance skills will be taught at the class. To participate in the limited
class the fee is $100.00 per person. Interested persons can contact Tom
Akigami to reserve a space. (Deadline is Saturday February 24th)
At 4:30pm the public is invited to watch a local drifting competition
at the Main parking lot of the 76 Circle K Drag Strip. Students enrolled
in the Drift school are automatically entered into the competition, all
other entries will be required to pay $30.00 to enter and show up by 3:00pm.
The competition will be judged by Drift Pro Katsuhiro Ueo, Signal President
Mad-K, and Editor in chief of Drift Tengoku magazine.

6:00pm ~ 7:30pm Meet and greet Signal Auto and Drift Drivers at
the Bambu Bar in the Outrigger Guam Resort. (Public invited)
Friday February 23, 2007
9:00am ~ 10:30am Press Conference / Media & Sponsor day at the
76 / Circle K Drag Strip pit area. Media and sponsors (only) invited to
sit in the passenger seat of the drift cars and experience drifting by
the professionals. (Please contact Tom Akigami to coordinate in-car filming)
Stunt Bike demonstrations will also take place for the media by local-military
talent: Chance McCoy. Press passes for the DDX event will be passes out
this day.

@ 10:00am ~ 3:00pm (Limited to 20 students. Deadline to enter is 2/24/07)
Vertical Productions GDC (Guam Drifting Championships) Local
drift competition judged by professional drivers and editor in chief of
Drift Tengoku Magazine from Japan. Competition to be held at the 76 /
Circle K Drag Strip main parking lot. Gates open to the public at 2:30pm,
Practice for competitors start at 3:30pm, Event from 4:30pm 7:00pm.
