Horizon news staff

The United States Joint Task Force Homeland Defense will commence a workshop on maritime drill starting tomorrow.
The workshop will emphasize issues surrounding maritime security, including among others, hazards and vulnerability assessments, international maritime law enforcement, intelligence and planning, criminal and terrorism threats and the synchronization matrix and gap analysis approach..
The National Emergency Management Office (NEMO) is sending the invites for the workshop and is inviting government agencies and private entities to participate in the workshop.
Alonzo Kyota, NEMO coordinator said that the workshop is important because it is a collaboration among agencies "for our communities to be better prepared for and respond to and recover from any type of emergency or disaster."
The workshop will be held at Ngarachamayong Cultural Center from Feb. 14 to 16.
