A Palau High School senior student is undertaking an apprenticeship program with the Air Force Civic Action Team 07-03.
Frankie Rechelluul is being trained as an automotive mechanic and he will be under the program for two months.
Rechelluul said that he always wanted a career as an auto mechanic. He said his interests have always been focused on fixing cars.
"I like to fix cars, I read a lot about fixing cars," Rechelluul said.
TSgt Ruben Bonafe, apprentice supervisor said Palau High School approved Rechelluul request to take his practicum under the team.
This was the first time that the team took a high school student to train with the other apprentices.
Bonafe said Recheluul already has demonstrated knowledge on automobiles when he joined the program.
Recheluul’s after-school program training will cover basic auto mechanic skills.
Recheluul said he was encouraged to train with the team by two CAT apprentices.
