Law Enforcement Explorer Program students from Koror, Meyuns, Maris Stella and G.B. Harris Elementary School will be collecting aluminum cans and trash on Feb. 17.
The students will start collecting trash beginning at the Supreme Court and will continue on to the streets of Ngerbeched, Dngergonger, and thru Ikelau secondary road leading up to Maris Stella on the main street leading to the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge.
The activity will start at 8 a.m.
Vice President and Justice Minister Elias Camsek Chin said that aluminum cans collected will be recycled and the money will be used to fund the LEEP activities during the summer.
"Therefore, the Ministry of Justice and the Bureau of Public Safety would like to ask for the cooperation of all motorists traveling in the area to drive cautiously and to look out for safety of the young students," Chin said.
The LEEP is aimed at building character, leadership skills among elementary and high school students.
