Autism spectrum disorders parent night

AUTISM Spectrum Disorders Parent Night is on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 6:30-8 p.m., in the cafeteria of William S. Reyes Elementary School.
The special guest speaker is Dr. Rina Marie Leon Guerrero of the University of Washington.
Originally from Guam, Leon Guerrero works at the experimental education unit at the University of Washington in Seattle.
The unit provides preschool and early elementary education services for students with autism spectrum disorders, using a variety of treatment methodologies, but focusing on applied behavior analysis.
The main focus of parent night is to bring together parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. The most important aspect is to allow parents to communicate with each other.
This is open to public, not just parents and family members.
Feel free to bring some snacks or drinks to share with others, but please don’t feel obligated to do so.
If you have questions, contact Julie Sarich at 237-3029.
