Latest data showed
that the national government spent a total of $13,176,827 in the first
quarter of the current fiscal year or as of Dec. 31, 2006.
This is 23 percent of the Total FY2007 budget of $58,320,417.
The total expenses of the Executive Branch amounted to $8,503,988.
These included $262,224 from the office of the president, $108,887 from
the office of the vice president, $650,457 from the Ministry of Finance,
$569,865 from the Ministry of State, $213,212 from the Ministry of Community
and Cultural Affairs, $1,505,947 from their Ministry of Education, $454,564
from the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, $1,041,417 from the Ministry
of Justice, $1,840,044 from the Ministry of Health and $1,857,370 from
the Ministry of Resources and Development.
State Block Grants expenditures totaled $$1,097,407 while the Olbiil Era
Kelulau had $951,772.
Other expenses are Boards/Commissions/ Authorities ($145,212), Judiciary
($454,186), Independent Agencies ($532,694), Other agencies and activities
($262,812), others ($124,324), education assistance ($757,456),
trust funds ($316,996) and debt service ($29,979).
