There’s reason for Palau Royal Resort’s Food and Beverage Manager Allan Tuppil and his staff and the Chinese Chefs to be happy on Chinese New Year’s Eve.
Tourists from Taiwan and other guests came to enjoy the food that had been prepared during the dinner buffet on Saturday Feb. 17 at the Waves Restaurant.
The buffet was $28 per person that included Chinese Goodluck Give-aways, Chinese Food Free Sampler at the Waves Entertainment.
The diners also enjoyed the performance from the Peleliu Dancers.
Tuppil said that all items in menu for the night guaranteed to be lucky and prosperous food for the Chinese New Year. Some of these were fish with xiao xing wine, steamed shrimp with garlic, seafood dumpling, shrimp ball with white sauce, mixed seafood with rice wine, Patatim (pig knockle in xo sauce) and of course the golden chocolate inside the red envelope.
There’s also the Chinese Rice Cake "Tikoy."
