Majors, Big Leagues managers’ meeting today

SAIPAN Little League Baseball vice president Mike Borja is calling on team managers in the Majors and Big League divisions of the ongoing 2007 SLLB tournament to attend a meeting today in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m.
Important matters including the schedule of games will be discussed at the meeting.

Masters basketball resumes Friday

THE Dino Sores and NMC Proa will collide tomorrow, as action in the 45-and-up division of the Masters Basketball League resumes at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
League coordinator Tony Rogolifoi said they might add another game this Friday.
There are seven teams entered in the 45-and-up division with Tropical Storm, Top 45, LBT, NIC and the Old’Aces joining Proa and the Dino Sores in the field.
The schedule of games in the 35-and-up division, which has four teams, will be announced next week.

2-man scramble golf tourney at LaoLao

A 2-man scramble format golf tournament will be held this Saturday on the west course of the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort .
The check-in time is 12:30 p.m., while tee off is 1:30 p.m.
The entrance fee is $100 per team.
Tournament organizer Jess Wabol is encouraging golfers to join the weekend event, as part of the proceeds from the tournament will be used to help the NMI golf team which plans to participate in the South Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa in August.
Wabol is inviting golfers, especially those with high handicaps, to join the tournament, which will award cash prizes to the top three low-net teams. One winning tandem will also be selected in the low gross category. Prizes will depend on the number of entries.
