No foul play in death of ex-convict

By Cherrie Anne E. Villahermosa
Variety News Staff

THE EX-CONVICT whose body was found at Kilili Beach two weeks ago died of natural causes, according to Department of Public Safety’s Sgt. Thomas Blas Jr.
He said it was determined by the detectives working on the case that there was no foul play involved in the death of Mario Jacob Ramon Anson, 40.
Blas said an autopsy was supposed to be conducted by Dr. Aurelio Espinola but it was not done due to the investigation’s findings.
Blas said an investigation disclosed that Anson had been ill.
Blas, however, refused to disclose Anson’s illness.
Anson’s body was found on Feb. 10, some 20 feet from the shore in knee-deep water at Kilili Beach.
The victim was rushed to the Commonwealth Health Center for treatment and was pronounced dead by the attending physician at 10:30 a.m.
Anson was convicted of assault and battery in 1994 and burglary in 1999.
Still looking
In other news, DPS said they are looking for the man who stabbed another man on February 12.
Mingnan Jin is still wanted by police for stabbing Eun Soo Han who was in his room at his apartment in Garapan when the suspect attacked him with a knife.
The victim sustained stab wounds to the head, arm and stomach and underwent surgery at CHC. He is now in stable condition, police said.
