Admiral Leidig to visit Peleliu, Angaur

Rear Admiral Charles Joe Leidig is scheduled to visit Peleliu and Angaur State airfields today.
Vice President and Justice Minister Elias Camsek Chin in an interview said they are scheduled to take a trip to the two states to inspect the airport runway upgrade which were recently completed by the Air Force Civic Action Team 07-03.
Chin said the visit will give Leidig the opportunity to inspect the team’s project which has been completed in just a short time.
Chin said that he has requested the admiral in September last year to come back to Palau and inspect the team’s work.
The admiral arrived in Palau on Feb. 18 and is expected to leave on Feb. 20.
The admiral and President Remengesau yesterday went diving together.
Leidig is the U.S. Pacific Defense Representative
CAT 07-03 has also accomplished the Peleliu War Memorial air-conditioning installation; Mindszenty School plumbing upgrade; Ngaraard Elementary School benches; Melekeok Road project.
The team has also finished the construction of the Ibobang Basketball Court, Palau Community College poultry house and will soon start the Koror Prison Workshop renovation.
