Palau High School Team A defeated Mindszenty High School Team B in four sets of their championship game yesterday, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, of the 2007 Interscholastic Sports League Girls Volleyball at the PHS Gym.
The Lady Spiders’ easily prevailed in the first two sets before MHS B rallied to take the third set in their best-of-five final showdown.
Then, the Lady Spiders got back to their senses as they took a commanding 14-4 lead early in the fourth set on the way to the win.
Earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, MHS Team C defeated PHS B for third place with a score of 25-21, 22-25, 25-16, in the best of three match for third place.
PHS A and Mindszenty will battle for the title in the Boys Division starting at 4 p.m. today also at the PHS Gym.
