To the authors of the changing of street names

IS it really necessary that our lawmakers be too preoccupied with renaming our streets when a critical economic crisis is happening?
Why do we have to rename streets that have been well known throughout many generations such as our beloved names, Beach Road and Middle Road. Also, in the future, when newly elected officials come into office and they want to seek change as well, do we then do it again?
How many changes to street names are we allowed? Would it not be logical to name streets that have some ties to their specific areas?
Aren’t Beach Road and Middle Road the most appropriate for their exact locations? Geographically isn’t this where these two roads are indeed located? We want our island to be a tourist-friendly place and by changing the street names, this will not only be too confusing but also much too costly. Rather than having to reeducate our community through the need of reproducing new maps and new street signs, valuable funding instead could be used toward repairing constant road work from natural damage, as well as wear and tear. The biggest question of all is, how much will these extra expenses that are not necessary cost our tax payers? We are already suffering so much economically and this will only add to our already present problem.
Can’t lawmakers find other creative ways to try and help solve our economic crisis that we are enduring so that we are able to bring more tourists for a boost in our economy? Isn’t there any other options when it comes to making money for our betterment, for our economy and it’s hardships we are facing? What about taking care of the crime spree we are experiencing with purse snatching throughout the village of Garapan? What about all the huge pot holes that cause great damage to our vehicles? What about taking care of those priorities?
Of all the problems that we are facing in the CNMI, is this all that you can come up with? This is not going to fix anything. How embarrassing that this is all that you can come up with. It is so DUMB!
Fix things that are broken and leave things that are okay alone.
Please let the street names be and do not make changes to them. Beach Road and Middle Road suit the two areas bes
