Remengesau spots trash bag containing tourist’s belongings

President Remengesau made an American tourist happy after he spotted a trash in the waters of the Rock Island which turned out to contain the tourist’s personal belongings.
Vann Isaac, president’s special assistant said that on Feb. 19, when the president was heading back to his diving trip with Admiral Charles Leidig, he spotted a trash bag and signaled for him to pick it up from the water.
Isaac said the trash bag was spotted at Kemurbeab area by the president who was driving his boat with Leidig.
Isaac said him and Sgt. Favian Ngiramengior was in another boat when they picked up the trash bag.
Isaac said the president thought it was trash thrown into the water.
Isaac said the trash bag contained clothes, wallet containing cash and credit cards belongs to a certain Deborah Lines.
Isaac said they contacted Neco Marine to locate Lines and with the help of Juliet Ueda, sales representative, the personal belongings were returned immediately to Lines.
Isaac said Lines was happy and thankful when her things were returned.
Lines is here with her family for a vacation.
