Meda edges Surangel Suns, 81-80, in NBL

Meda bounced back with against Surangel Suns, 81-80, on Wednesday night in the second round action of the 2007 Shell NBL at the Palau National Gymnasium.
Ziske Asanuma led Meda with 32 points but it was reigning MVP Lyndon Ngiramolau who scored the marginal two-pointer as he finished the game with 15 points.
With the win, Meda recovered from its previous 66-70 loss to the Islanders on Feb. 16.
Andy Johnson, Joey Martin and Eric Johnson led the Suns with 23, 19 and 17.
In the other Division I match, the Styxers won over the Ranchers via forfeiture.
In Division II, Mesang defeated Mesekiu, 61-53, on Tuesday night.
The Ngiwal 79ers also won over the Blue Sharks, 73-60, while On Fire escaped with a 67-66 victory over the Matadors.
Willard had 10 for Top Side On fire, including his team’s last four points and played the hero’s role.
Jaxxon , Achair and Early also scored 16, 12 and 10 for On fire while Maka Ichiro led the Matadors with 23 and Juvic chipped in 15.
