45 players register for Smash For Love badminton tourney

A total of 45 players have registered for the Smash For Love Badminton Tournament with the opening ceremonies to be held today starting at 5 p.m. at the Palau National Gymnasium.
As of yesterday, there were 10 players who have signified their intention to join in the beginners’ category.
In the Intermediate class for ladies and men, there are 12 teams each and in the doubles, eight teams each.
The tournament is set Feb. 23-25.
This event is organized by the Badminton Club, which is a project of Red Cross Volunteers Group. This Charity Fundraising will be for the benfit of the Palau Red Cross Society.
Vice President Elias Camsek Chin will give an inspirational talk during the opening ceremonies starting at 5 p.m. this Friday.
Final registration will be done before the start of the program.
After the parade of players, organizer Allan Tuppil will deliver his welcome address.
Intermission numbers from the ATT Angels and Imperial Girls will spice up the program.
