Matadors eye fourth straight win vs. Mesekiu

The Matadors are eyeing for their fourth consecutive win when they meet PCC Mesekiu in today’s resumption of games in Division II of the 2006-2007 Shell NBL.
Gametime is set at 9 p.m. following two other matches earlier in the day at the Palau National Gymnasium.
As of December 19, the Matadors are currently sporting a 3-1 win-loss record in a tie with the Jaguars and the Ngiwal 79ers in second place.
PCC is carrying a respectable 2-2 card.
The Stingers are pacing the tournament lead with a 5-0 mark.
The 79ers will face On Fire at 6 p.m. to be followed by the match between the Blue Sharks and Kabong at 7:30 p.m.
On Fire is seeking its fourth win in sixth games while the Blue Sharks try to duplicate their previous victory over the Bullets after dropping their first three assignments.
Kabong, on the other hand, is trying to bounce back from its first defeat to the Matadors after winning its first two games.
In Division I play, Meda will try to restore its good start when it takes on the Styxers at 6 p.m. tomorrow.
As of Dec. 20, Meda is on a four-way tie on top with the Surangel Suns, Breakers and the Rivals.
The Styxers are aiming to improve its current 1-3 record.
In the second game at 7:30 p.m., the defending champion Peched Raw will meet the Breakers.
Peched Raw is having a 2-2 card.
There were no available results of games on Dec. 21-23 as of this writing.
