Bank of Guam mobile banking returns

By Gerardo R. Partido
Variety News Staff

THE Bank of Guam is re-introducing its Guam mobile banking facility to bring automated teller machine banking convenience directly to customers.
The service was first introduced on Guam in 1975 and later supplemented by a bank-by-boat facility in 1990.
BoG’s mobile banking unit, in conjunction with the Chamorro Village, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 3 p.m. at the Chamorro Village to be graced by Lt. Gov. Mike Cruz.
The mobile ATM will be featured at the weekly Wednesday night events held at the Chamorro Village.
Housed in a 2006 GMC 4500 heavy-duty truck, the facility features two side-by-side ATMs providing the latest in enhanced security, convenience, and speed.
The facility is manufactured by MBF Industries in Sanford, Florida, which specializes in custom-built mobile ATMs and command posts.
According to Bank of Guam president and board chair Lou Leon Guerrero, BoG is proud to feature the return of its very popular mobile banking facility, which brings consumer convenience to enhanced levels.
“Whether it be at the popular Chamorro Village Wednesday market, or at shopping malls, or even village fiestas, the Bank of Guam’s ‘banking on wheels’ convenience is unmatched in bringing financial services to our consumers,” Leon Guerrero said.
