Finally the American Red Cross Standard First Aid/CPR course is slated to take 8 hours. The course will be broken down into several sessions with the first session on the morning of Sat. Jan. 20. A second session is scheduled for Thurs. and Fri. Jan. 25 and 26 in the evening and a final third session is scheduled towards the end of the month on Sat. Jan. 27 in the morning.
There will be a $15 fee for the “F” License Course and a $25 fee for the “E” License Course. The American Red Cross Standard First Aid/CPR fee for all club coaches registered with GFA will be paid by the organization.
GFA President Richard Lai stated “The clinics are being held to help raise the level of coaching in the league and in doing so, we hope to develop the game of football to the next level.”
Lai added, “GFA is also very grateful of the American Red Cross in conducting the Standard First Aid/CPR courses for our coaches as we realize that GFA is one of the largest and fastest growing sport on the island. The children’s safety is a major concern for GFA and our investment in the courses is nominal considering the benefits.”
