A 25-year-old woman was robbed
of her purse while walking in Garapan on Wednesday night.
Mei Yu told police that her purse contained a passport, work ID, earrings,
bankcards, house keys and $20 cash.
Acting Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Thomas Blas Jr. said
DPS received a report of the robbery that occurred by the 888 Poker Game
Room in Garapan at 9:25 p.m.
Blas said the victim was walking toward Hongs Building located west
of the Cost & Save Mart.
Two unidentified men came from behind and grabbed the purse from Mei Yu.
The suspects ran in the direction of 888 Poker Game Room. Mei Yu chased
them but lost sight of them.
The suspects were described as slender with short hair and tan skin and
both wearing white shirts.
DPS urges anyone to call Crime Stoppers at 234-7272 with any information
regarding this incident.
DPS said all calls are anonymous and no caller ID is used and a reward
of up to $1,000 awaits anyone with information leading to an arrest.
